ins__ | i have a question about shogun and matlab. im writing a matlab program for my thesis and my advisor told me to use shogun. my problem is that i run my code in parallel(parfor) and as far as i unterstand the matlab_static interface keeps the state hidden. i guess using the modular interface would solve the problem, but running the octave demo code in matlab won't work ("init_shogun" not found) | 13:13 |
ins__ | any tip would be really appreciated.... i'm dying here...thanks | 13:14 |

blackburn | yeap, got 4 of 5, just like B in your grade system | 17:42 |
serialhex | sweet!!! | 17:42 |
blackburn | it is good for me because I fckng hate these math physics | 17:42 |
serialhex | really? i love math & fizix r0x :P | 17:43 |
blackburn | this discipline is all about partial differential equations | 17:43 |
blackburn | probably you won't love it :) | 17:43 |
serialhex | oh... | 17:43 |
serialhex | yeah thoes are a pain in my arse!! | 17:44 |
serialhex | i *HATE* integrals, and partial differentials are integrals on steroids!! | 17:44 |
blackburn | ahah | 17:44 |
blackburn | serialhex: next exam on that shit: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18127451/mpc_2.pdf | 17:54 |

blackburn | makes sense | 18:00 |
blackburn | a little | 18:00 |
serialhex | yeah, like nonsense! :P | 18:00 |
serialhex | i think it's kind of interesting that the whole thing is in russian, except the pseudocode! | 18:01 |
blackburn | I laugh on teacher's using words like gaxpy | 18:01 |
serialhex | i always kind of wondered if people coded in their native language, and i guess not :P | 18:01 |
serialhex | wtf is gaxpy? | 18:01 |
blackburn | generalized alpha X plus Y | 18:01 |
blackburn | matrix on vector plus vector | 18:02 |
blackburn | ahaha btw my teacher thinks that saxpy is 'scalar alpha x plus y' and he doesn't know what there are daxpy (double-precision), caxpy (complex) and zaxpy (double precision comlex) | 18:03 |
serialhex | ahh, ok | 18:03 |
blackburn | well their all are just teaching some old shit they read from book of 1977 year | 18:04 |
serialhex | LOL, now you're sounding like some sci-fi writer on crack coming up with new terms for his latest sci-fi series! | 18:04 |

blackburn | sonney2k: I've made a pull request with isomap - you could push it now or later - as you want | 22:33 |
blackburn | the only issue is related to new distance I will use | 22:38 |
blackburn | it is a geodesic approximate distance and I would need some help to implement it proper | 22:38 |
blackburn | hope I'll talk to you tomorrow | 22:39 |
