Save the date for the Shogun days - July 27 & 28, 2014!
We are happy to announce that registration for the Shogun workshop 2014 is now open. For the second year, the Shogun summer workshop will take place at the [c-base] in Berlin! Help us spreading the word and let everyone know about the workshop.
Join us for a happy day of meeting new people, geeking about Machine Learning, hacking Open-Source, and enjoying a summer night’s BBQ in Germany's hip capital. There will be two events: The main workshop day on July 28, and a hands-on afternoon hack on July 27. We have come up with a preliminary program draft for the main workshop [here], see below for details on the afternoon hack.
Contributions are welcome! We accept external talks/posters/demos around Machine Learning, Data Science & Shogun. This includes research and applications from both academia and industry. Please send abstracts for talks/demos/posters via the registration form until July 15.
You can register for both days and vote on talk topics [here]. Note the slight change in the hands-on part, which is now before the main day.
Sunday, 27. July 2014, 10:00-18:00
ResearchGate, Invalidenstr. 115, 10115 Berlin, http://www.researchgate.net/
This informal event will include a tutorial on using and hacking Shogun, as well as a guided walk through Machine Learning applications. We’ll provide a quick introduction on Shogun and how to get started. Integration with other languages such as Java/Octave/Python will be shown. Bring data, problems and laptops!
Note that we have to restrict the number of participants to 20. First come, first serve.
We are extremely grateful to ResearchGate who kindly provides the location for this day. Note that this event is *not* related in any form to recruitment or similar.
